Orlando Brown Wants To Stay In KC A Long Time
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown, who was acquired from the Baltimore Ravens last week, is heading into the final year of his contract. But the former third-round pick wants to prove he was worth the trade while also being worthy of a long-term deal with the Chiefs. "I want to be here for a long time, I do," Brown said. "I'm going to make sure I take care of my part, and that's handling my business on the football field." There is currently no extension in the works for Brown, and the Chiefs will likely wait until after the year to discuss a new deal. They could also use the franchise tag on Brown, if necessary. A two-time Pro Bowler at right tackle, Brown excelled in the move to left tackle last year in Baltimore. After a disastrous Super Bowl experience for the Chiefs offensive line, Brown is expected to solidify quarterback Patrick Mahomes' blind side.
