Trevor Story Hits Grand Slam In Win Over Phillies
4 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story hit a grand slam off right-hander David Hale in the team's 12-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday, the club's fifth win in their last seven games. The free-agent-to-be this offseason, the home run was just Story's second of the season. Story added a single, a strikeout and a walk in the 2-for-4 effort. Despite the lack of home runs early in the season, the young star shortstop has a strong slash line of .299/.333/.481 with 13 RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases in 84 plate appearances. Story is already one of the top fantasy shortstops in the game, and it helps that he calls hitter-friendly Coors Field his home. However, Story could wind up in another uniform at the trade deadline this summer.
