No Major Issues For Christian Yelich
4 years agoAn MRI on Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich's back showed no major issues. He has not played since April 11 and was eligible to return from the injured list on Saturday, but the 2018 National League MVP was sent back to Milwaukee because manager Craig Counsell said that Yelich had hit a "plateau" in his recovery. "We still need to make progress to get him back on the field and so from that perspective not much has changed. But we'll keep moving forward and see what some activity tomorrow at the field brings," Counsell said. It's great news for Yelich's fantasy managers, but there's still no timetable for the 29-year-old's return. With Lorenzo Cain also on the injured list, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Billy McKinney have seen a bump in playing time. Corey Ray also returned to the fold this weekend.
