Alex Wood Dazzles In Friday Start
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Wood turned in a stellar second start of his season in Friday's 5-3 win over the Marlins. Wood pitched seven innings, allowing a single run on one hit (a solo home run) and one walk with seven strikeouts. The 30-year-old has looked great through his first two starts, winning both games with a 0.75 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 12 IP. Wood has shown that he can be a higher-end fantasy pitcher when healthy, and it looks like he may be returning to form. At just 27% rostership, Wood is definitely worth a roster add in most leagues. He will look to keep things going in a decent matchup against the Rockies at home.
