4 years agoAtlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run on Friday night during the club's 5-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The young hitter has now gone deep twice in the last two games after not managing an extra-base hit through his first 17 games of 2021. Although he hasn't been hitting for power, Riley has shown a more mature approach at the plate with fewer strikeouts and more walks. The power will no doubt come for him as he slugged 33 home runs between Triple-A and the majors in 2019. Riley may be an astute add off the waiver wire as he starts to heat up, especially given that he's eligible to play both third base and the outfield in most leagues.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
