Andrew Benintendi Hits First Home Run As A Royal
4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi had his best game at the plate so far this year on Friday against the Detroit Tigers. Benintendi went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run and two runs scored. The home run was his first of the season. Benintendi has had a quiet start to his first year with the Royals. Through 17 games, he's slashing .219/.296/.313 with one home run, three doubles, three stolen bases, five RBI and 10 runs. He began the year as the team's No. 2 hitter, but his early struggles prompted a move down in the lineup. He's been hitting sixth and seventh lately. In shallow leagues, Benintendi can be left on waivers, but in deep leagues, and especially in five-outfielder leagues, he's worth roster consideration.
