4 years agoFree-agent veteran starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez threw for select teams at Florida International University on Friday. The teams in attendance included the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers and Arizona Diamondbacks. Sanchez is nearly ready and hit 90-92 mph on the radar gun. Sanchez had a similar session a few weeks back, but it was cut short after he cut his finger. The 37-year-old right-hander had an ugly 6.62 ERA and 1.66 WHIP in 11 starts for the Washington Nationals in the shortened 2020 season, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from him if he's signed and makes starts for a big league team this season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
