Domingo German Earns Win With Quality Start
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German notched his first win of the season in Thursday's 6-3 defeat of the Indians. German pitched six innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits while fanning six batters with one walk. He ran into trouble in the first inning, allowing a series of hits- and all three runs, though he settled in nicely after that, retiring seven straight batters to finish his outing strong. German struggled to keep the bases clean but kept the runs off the board, for the most part, a big improvement from his first two starts. He'll look to build off the strong effort in his next outing on April 27 against a strikeout-prone Orioles' lineup.
