Zack Short Draws Two Walks In MLB Debut
4 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Zack Short made his MLB debut in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Short went 0-for-1 with two walks at the plate. He earned a great deal of praise from Tigers manager A.J. Hinch, who particularly raved about his defense. Hinch said, "He will always be at the right place at the right time." Short played third base in the game and made multiple impressive plays. He looked surprisingly comfortable in spite of it being an extremely cold day in Detroit. We don't know how long he's going to be sticking with the big league club at this point, but if he does, he's someone worth keeping an eye on for deep league and AL-only league managers.
