Jorge Alfaro Forced To Leave Tuesday's Game
4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles due to soreness in his left hamstring. Alfaro came up lame while trying to run out a ground ball. He already missed time with a hamstring injury earlier this season, sitting out four games. This time around, he may need a trip to the injured list, as the Marlins are shorthanded on the bench. If Alfaro does indeed spend time on the IL, Sandy Leon will almost certainly be called up from the Alternate Training Site and split starts behind the plate with Chad Wallach. There's nothing to be excited about behind the plate for the Miami Marlins.
