Ian Kennedy Earns Fourth Save On Monday
4 years agoTexas Rangers closer Ian Kennedy closed out the team's 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday to earn his fourth save of the year. Kennedy pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing two hits and no walks without recording a strikeout. Kennedy has a 2.57 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP through seven appearances on the year. He's the only Ranger to record a save this year and has been one of the only consistently effective relievers for the team. He's one of the biggest risers in the relief pitcher rankings since the start of the year. Even though the Rangers may struggle to keep up their current winning rate - the team is 8-9 on the year - Kennedy needs to be rostered and started in all leagues at this point.
