Niko Goodrum Homers, Tallies Three Hits On Thursday
4 years agoDetroit Tigers utility man Niko Goodrum had a strong offensive showing in Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics. Goodrum hit second in the order and went 3-for-4, hitting his first home run of the season, a solo shot off Athletics starter Sean Manaea in the sixth inning. Goodrum has started in eight of the Tigers' 15 games so far. He's slashing .286/.355/.429 on the year. If he could earn more regular playing time, he'd be worth a roster spot in deep leagues and AL-only leagues. He has stolen base upside as he stole seven bags over 43 games last year. However, his playing time isn't frequent enough to warrant rostering him at this point.
