Pablo Lopez Struggles On Tuesday
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez had a rough start on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves. Lopez lasted just four innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and a walk, striking out six. Lopez threw 83 pitches, 55 for strikes. He ended up with a no decision thanks to an offensive explosion that saw the Marlins put up 14 runs on the night. Lopez started off poorly, allowing three runs in the first inning and then pitched a scoreless second before allowing one run in the third and two more in the fourth. This could be one of Lopez's worst starts of the season, perhaps he just got it out of the way early.
