Kwang Hyun Kim To Make First Start On Saturday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Kwang Hyun Kim (back) will make his first start of the 2021 season on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Kim has been out since Spring Training due to back tightness, but has been ramping up his throwing in recent days. Daniel Ponce de Leon will be moved to the bullpen upon Kim's return. Last year, in his first year in the MLB, Kim made eight appearances (seven starts) and went 3-0 with a 1.62 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 15.6% strikeout rate. He's someone worth rostering in all deep leagues and NL-only leagues, but he has limited upside due to his strikeout deficiencies.
