Cavan Biggio Hitting Just .125 Through Nine Games
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Cavan Biggio has been cold out of the gate this year. Through nine games, he's slashing .125/.263/.313 with two home runs, two RBI and five runs. He has a 28.2% strikeout rate, up from 23% last year. His .124 xBA ranks amongst the bottom 1% of the league. Biggio has shown solid power in the majors. He hit 24 home runs over 159 games from 2019 to 2020, but there are some clear strikeout and contact concerns. Over 168 MLB games, he's batting just .234. Fantasy managers should stay patient with Biggio for now. At the very least, he should be a solid source of home runs, RBI and runs. It also helps that he has eligibility at second base, one of the weakest positions in fantasy.
