Brady Singer Tagged With Second Loss On Monday
4 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Brady Singer is off to a rough start to his second season in the majors. On Monday, he suffered his second straight loss against the Los Angeles Angels. He pitched five innings and allowed seven hits, no walks and four runs (only one earned) while striking out six. He gave up five earned runs over 3 1/3 innings in his first start of the year and now has a 6.48 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over two starts. Singer's velocity is up so far this year. His sinker is averaging 94.9 mph, up from 93.3 mph last year, and his slider is sitting at 85.9 mph, up from 83.1 mph in 2020. There's certainly hope that the 24-year-old can turn things around, but fantasy managers can look elsewhere if they need immediate help in their rotation. Singer's next start will be on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
