Jake Odorizzi Set For Astros Debut On Tuesday
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi will make his 2021 debut and Astros debut on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers. The 31-year-old Odorizzi signed with the Astros in March. He's spent the past month or so building up his workload at the team's alternate site. Odorizzi made just four starts for the Minnesota Twins in 2020, going 0-1 with a 6.59 ERA and 1.39 WHIP while averaging 7.9 K/9. He should be rostered in all deep leagues and AL-only leagues based on the run support he's likely to get from the Astros' offense. The team might limit his workload out of the gate, but he could be a valuable backend starting pitcher for fantasy managers over the course of the year.
