4 years agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman/outfielder Brandon Lowe is off to a slow start to the 2021 season. He's slashing .179/.343/.250 and is yet to hit his first home run. He has two doubles and three RBI and he's struck out 11 times over 28 at-bats. He's yet to register a barrel over 17 batted balls and his average launch angle is down from 18.1 degrees in 2020 to 13.4 degrees this year. He's still making good contact as he has a hard-hit rate of 41.2%, only slightly down from last year, 43.1%. It's too early in the season to get hung up on most advanced stats, but there are certainly some concerning trends. Fantasy managers should stay patient for now.
