Zach McKinstry Providing Solid Spark For Dodgers
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers second baseman Zach McKinstry has been one of the biggest surprise stories for the team so far this year. Through nine games, the 25-year-old rookie is slashing .321/.355/.679 with two home runs, four doubles and 10 RBI. He has just four strikeouts over 28 at-bats. In Sunday's game, McKinstry was especially clutch for the team, going 2-for-3 with a double and home run, helping the Dodgers defeat the Washington Nationals 3-0. With Mookie Betts (back) and Cody Bellinger (calf) sidelined, the team has especially needed McKinstry to come through and he's delivered. His playing time should dwindle down when the team is at full strength, but for now, he's worth a roster spot in most fantasy leagues, especially with his valuable second base eligibility.
