Lewis Brinson Optioned To Alternate Site
4 years agoPrior to Sunday's game, the Miami Marlins sent outfielder Lewis Brinson to the team's alternate site. Pitcher Daniel Castano was added to the team's roster in a corresponding move. Brinson is off to an 0-for-8 start to the year with three strikeouts and no walks. He's yet to find any success in the Major League. He made his MLB debut in 2017 and has slashed .187/.240/.300 over 256 games. Castano was moderately effective over 29.2 innings with the Marlins last year, posting a 3.03 ERA and 1.38 WHIP, but he only struck out 12 batters and surrendered 11 walks.
