Anthony Rendon Sitting On Sunday With Minor Groin Injury
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (groin) is sitting out on Sunday as the team closes out their series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Rendon suffered a minor left groin injury while making a throw in Saturday's game. Jose Rojas is getting the start at third base and batting sixth in the game. Rendon is off to a decent start to the year. He's reached base in all but one of the eight games he's played in. He hasn't delivered much power yet. He has only one extra-base hit, a home run that came in Saturday's game. He should be considered day-to-day with a chance to return on Monday when the team plays the Kansas City Royals.
