Justin Wilson Activated From Injured List
4 years agoThe New York Yankees activated left-handed reliever Justin Wilson (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list on Friday. Wilson made his last appearance in a spring training game on March 22 and exited that game due to tightness in his left shoulder. The Yankees bullpen has been excellent without Wilson in the fold in the first six games of the season, recording a 1.00 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 27 innings of work. Wilson signed a $2.85 million deal with the team in February that included a $2.3 million player option or a $7.15 million team option for 2022, with a $1.15 million buyout. The 33-year-old will give the Yanks another left-handed arm in their bullpen alongside closer Aroldis Chapman with Zack Britton (elbow) out.
