4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks infielder Ketel Marte (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday, a day after injuring his right hamstring against the Colorado Rockies. In a corresponding move, the team recalled Andrew Young. Manager Torey Lovullo said that Marte will likely have an MRI exam when the team returns home. It's a blow to the D-backs and fantasy managers alike, as the 27-year-old was hitting .462 with two home runs in the first six games of the 2021 season. "There's some soreness there; there are some things that we expected," Lovullo said. All Marte's fantasy managers can do now is hope that he'll be ready to go after 10 days. Tim Locastro, who hit leadoff and started in center field on Wednesday, is in line to benefit the most from extra playing time with Marte sidelined.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
