4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy is off to a fantastic start to the 2021 season. Through seven games, Muncy is slashing .375/.531/.625 with one home run, seven walks, five RBI and five runs. He's reached base at least once in all seven games. His plate discipline has been better than it's ever been before. His walk rate is up from 15.7% in 2020 to 21.9% this year, while his strikeout rate is down from 24.2% in 2020 to 12.5% this year. He also has an average exit velocity of 93.1 mph so far this year, which is well above his average exit velocity of 88.5 mph last year. It could just be a bit of a hot start, but there's also a chance Muncy could have his best season yet in 2021.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
