Willi Castro Has Three-Hit Day On Wednesday
4 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Willi Castro has had a somewhat quiet start to the season. However, on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins, he had his first multi-hit game of the year, going 3-for-4 with three singles. Castro is 6-for-25 overall on the year. He only has one extra-base hit, a triple, and he has just one RBI and two runs scored. Castro was a revelation for the Tigers last year as he slashed .349/.381/.550 over 36 games. He's either hit second or third in the lineup each game so far this year. Despite the lack of power output, Castro has been hitting the ball hard. He's registered an average exit velocity of 92.1 mph and a hard-hit rate of 42.1%. Fantasy managers should stay patient with Castro. Hopefully Wednesday's three-hit day will help get him back on track.
