Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Showing Hints Of Breakout Season
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has reached base in each of his five games so far this year. One of the most promising adjustments he's made at the plate so far has been in his discipline. He's walked three times through five games. Going into this year, he'd only walked 66 times over 183 MLB games. While improving his discipline, Guerrero has shown no signs so far of sacrificing any power. Through 12 batted balls this year, he's registered two barrels. He has an average launch angle of 18.9 and a solid average exit velocity of 89.2 miles per hour. Guerrero has a home run, two RBI and three runs so far this year. He has a chance to hit around 30 home runs or more this year and maintain a solid batting average in the process. If he can stay healthy, he could end up being one of the best steals in fantasy drafts.
