Freddie Freeman Hitless Through Opening Series
4 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman had a rough opening series against the Philadelphia Phillies. He went 0-for-9 as the Phillies completed a three-game sweep. On the bright side, he walked three times and only struck out once. Freeman is one of the game's best overall hitters and he's locked into the three-spot in one of the league's most potent lineups. Last year, Freeman slashed .341/.462/.640 with 13 home runs, 53 RBI and 51 runs over 60 games. Look for him to get back on track soon. The Braves will begin their second series against Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.
