Jose Ramirez Still Searching For First RBI
4 years agoCleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez hasn't had any trouble getting on base so far this year. He's recorded a hit in each of his four games and is 5-for-16 with a double, a walk and just one strikeout on the young season. However, he's yet to record his first RBI of the year. The Indians have struggled offensively. They were shutout by Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals on Monday and were only able to eclipse two runs in one of their three games against the Detroit Tigers to open the year. Cesar Hernandez, who has hit second in each game, is hitting just .143 while Jordan Luplow, who has led off three of four games, is hitting .125. Not having Francisco Lindor in front of him will cost Ramirez some significant run production numbers. He's still going to be an extremely valuable fantasy asset, but don't expect gaudy RBI numbers.
