Michael A. Taylor Homers, Drives In Three On Opening Day
4 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Michael A. Taylor performed well in his Royals debut against the Texas Rangers on Opening Day. Taylor went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI while the Royals put 14 runs on the board. Taylor signed a one-year deal with the Royals this offseason. He spent the first seven years of his MLB career with the Washington Nationals. Taylor had a rough year in 2020, slashing .196/.253/.424 with five home runs, 16 RBI and 11 runs over 38 games. He didn't steal a single base after racking up 30 stolen bases from 2018 to 2019. Taylor will be the Royals everyday centerfielder. He is worth keeping an eye on in deep leagues and AL-only leagues if you need outfield depth, but don't rush to the waiver wire to grab him.
