4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder AJ Pollock is not in the team's Opening Day lineup as they take on right-hander German Marquez and the Colorado Rockies. Chris Taylor is getting the start in left field with Gavin Lux at second base. The right-handed Pollock was far more productive against lefties than righties last year. He had a 1.185 OPS against lefties and a .761 OPS against righties. Lux is a lefty who has done better against righties in his two years in the majors. However, the right-handed Taylor had even more of a disparity between righties and lefties last year than Pollock, so Taylor's inclusion in the Opening Day lineup might suggest that Taylor will see slightly more playing time than Pollock at least out of the gate this year.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
