Packers Re-Sign Kevin King
4 years agoThe Green Bay Packers re-signed cornerback Kevin King to a one-year, $6 million deal on Tuesday, according to a source. King was the team's first-round pick back in 2017, but he's battled through injuries and inconsistency, and he allowed Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady's 39-yard touchdown pass with one second left in the first half last year's NFC Championship game. He has never been healthy for an entire season and missed five games in 2020 with a quadriceps injury. King has missed 23 of a possible 64 regular season games in his four-year career. He has six career interceptions (five in 2019). The Packers starting secondary from a year ago -- King, All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander and safeties Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage -- will remain intact in 2021.
