Jack Flaherty Struggles In Monday's Start
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty had a rough outing in his penultimate spring start on Monday against the Miami Marlins. Flaherty pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, three walks and four runs (three earned) while striking out five. He now has a 6.97 ERA and 1.74 WHIP over 10.1 innings this spring. He'll have one more start this spring and it will again come against the Marlins on Saturday. Flaherty currently has an ADP around 30. He's a great target late in the second round or early third round of drafts to serve as your ace or your No. 2 starter. He's coming off a disappointing 2020 season, but is just a year-and-a-half removed from an elite 2019 campaign where he won 11 games and posted a 2.75 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 231 strikeouts.
