Giants Sign Reggie Ragland
4 years agoThe New York Giants signed former Kansas City Chiefs starting linebacker Reggie Ragland to an undisclosed one-year deal. Ragland was the middle linebacker for the Detroit Lions last year and played in all 16 games (six starts). He was a second-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2016, but a torn ACL ruined his rookie season. Ragland was then traded to the Chiefs, where he started 31 games in the following three seasons. The 27-year-old former Alabama star will help provide valuable depth to a linebacking crew that isn't very strong outside of Blake Martinez. Ragland will have a chance to revive his career with the Giants and will see competition from Tae Crowder, T.J. Brunson and Cam Brown.
