Cody Bellinger Slugs First Spring Home Run On Thursday
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in his second Cactus League game on Thursday. Bellinger ripped a fly-ball 101.3 MPH on an out, then later registered an exit velocity of 107.3 MPH on his dinger. Manager Dave Roberts noted after the game that the 25-year-old had a bit of a more closed stance than in his first spring game, but that he is seeing the baseball really well and feeling good right now. The Dodgers plan to get Bellinger 30-40 at-bats this spring, with his next action likely coming on Saturday against the Padres. Bellinger struggled in 2020- but a return to form is likely given his monstrous 162-game averages and good health heading into the season. His 15 ADP is looking like a good value for managers.
