Kyle Hendricks Ramping Up Well This Spring
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks has ramped up his activity well this spring in anticipation of the regular season. Hendricks pitched 3 1/3 innings of two-run ball, allowing four hits and a walk while striking out four batters in Wednesday's win. The veteran right-hander said that getting through 70 pitches was "easy"- he'd like more efficiency- but that he'll shoot for 85 pitches in his next outing. Hendricks excels in two areas that are perhaps underrated in fantasy baseball- innings pitched and hard-hit rate. He makes for a great SP3, particularly in roto formats, as he'll flirt with 200 innings pitched while delivering a sub-3.50 ERA, and a strong WHIP.
