Houston Bringing In Tyrod Taylor
4 years agoFormer Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $12.5 million with the Houston Texans, according to sources. Taylor will join Deshaun Watson as the only two signal-callers on the team's roster. The Texans continue to say that they are very committed to Watson as their starter, but he has told head coach David Culley that he doesn't want to play for the team moving forward. Taylor will be the team's contingency plan in case Watson doesn't report to training camp while pushing his desire to be traded. Taylor was named the Chargers starter last season but suffered a punctured lung before Week 2 and never regained the starting job after rookie Justin Herbert took the job and ran with it. The 31-year-old will be nothing more than a low-end QB2 if Watson is traded and he's starting games in Houston next season.
