Andy Dalton Joining The Bears
4 years agoFormer Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton is signing a one-year, $10 million deal with the Chicago Bears on Tuesday, according to sources. Dalton will have the chance to earn another $3 million in incentives. While the Bears could still upgrade in a big way by trading for either Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson or Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, Dalton could be considered an upgrade over both Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles. As of right now, Dalton should be considered the favorite to start for the Bears heading into 2021. Dalton and offensive coordinator Bill Lazor spent time together with the Bengals. The 33-year-old has not started 16 games in a season since 2017, and he'll be a very mediocre QB2 if he enters the season as Chicago's starter. The signing of Dalton basically means that Trubisky will not be back.
