Daniel Carlson Slapped With Second-Round Tender
4 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders placed a second-round tender on impending restricted free-agent kicker Daniel Carlson on Monday. Carlson had a great year in 2020, making 94.3 percent of his 35 field-goal attempts (just two misses) while also making 45 of his 47 extra-point attempts in 16 regular season games. He had a single-season franchise record of 144 points in 2020. The 26-year-old will make $3.384 million if he signs his tender, and it should prevent other teams from attempting to sign him to an offer sheet. In his four-year NFL career (three with the Raiders), Carlson has made 84.1 percent of his 82 field-goal attempts and has solidified the kicking position in Las Vegas in recent seasons.
