Corey Davis Reaches Agreement With Jets
4 years agoFormer Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis reached an agreement on a three-year, $37.5 million deal with the New York Jets on Monday, according to sources. The deal includes $27 million in guarantees. The fifth overall pick of the 2017 draft cashed in after the best season of his career in 2020. The 26-year-old hauled in 65 catches on 92 targets for 984 yards (15.1 yards per reception) and a career-high five touchdowns in 14 games (12 starts). With Breshad Perriman a free agent, Davis should operate as Gang Green's unquestioned No. 1 receiver in 2021 and beyond alongside second-year wideout Denzel Mims and slot man Jamison Crowder. However, New York's situation under center will impact Davis' eventual 2021 fantasy value. If the Jets can upgrade over Sam Darnold, Davis will be a coveted fantasy wideout.
