Carlos Martinez Gives Up Two Runs On Sunday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Carlos Martinez was okay in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the New York Mets. He pitched four innings, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk, while striking out three. Martinez got off to a rough start this spring, but has since pitched a little better and is currently sporting an 8.31 spring ERA. Martinez is locked into a spot in the Cardinals starting rotation and as long as he continues pitching better, he should have some value in deeper mixed leagues as a solid but unspectacular rotation-filler.
