4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitchers Kyle Wright, Bryse Wilson and Huascar Ynoa are the top candidates to fill the final rotation spot until Mike Soroka returns from Achilles surgery. If Soroka returns on schedule within the first few weeks of the regular season, Atlanta might need one of those pitchers to make just a start or two. Wright strengthened his bid by holding the Rays to two hits over four scoreless innings on Thursday. The 25-year-old right-hander finished last year strong and has worked seven scoreless innings in his last two spring outings. If Wright wins the final rotation spot, he'll likely be a swing man as a spot starter and long-relief arm out of the bullpen in 2021 as the Braves see fit.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
