Isaac Paredes Hits First Spring Home Run
4 years agoDetroit Tigers third base prospect Isaac Paredes hit his first home run of 2021 against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. He's looking to lock down the starting third base job for 2021. Paredes received his first taste of MLB action last year but he managed a well-below average 56 wRC+ in 30 games. Although he possesses just average power, the 22-year-old has a history of strong minor-league results. In 2019, he produced a 133 wRC+ at Double-A and then spent most of 2020 at the alternate training site. Although he's ranked by Rotoballer just outside the Top 10 dynasty third basemen, Paredes has additional value in on-base fantasy leagues due to his high walk rates.
