Josh Hader Hit Hard In Spring Debut
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader made his spring debut on Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics and had an outing to forget. He pitched just 2/3 of an inning and allowed two home runs as well as a walk. He also recorded two strikeouts. After the game, Hader said that he had been working on his off-speed pitches in the game. These pitches weren't finding the zone or fooling batters, which led to him getting behind in counts. Hader is one of the league's best relievers and should be one of the first closers off the board in all fantasy drafts. Last year, he converted 13 of 15 save opportunities and posted a 3.79 ERA and 0.947 WHIP while averaging 14.7 K/9.
