Brendan Rodgers Homers, Doubles in Rockies Win
4 years agoColorado Rockies infield prospect Brendan Rodgers went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Rodgers is now 5-for-15 (.333) with two home runs through seven games. Originally a shortstop but blocked by Trevor Story, the young infielder has spent six games at second base and one game at third. Now two years removed from serious shoulder surgery, Rodgers appears to have rediscovered his power stroke and could secure the everyday second base job although he'll receive competition from Ryan McMahon and Chris Owings. Rodgers is ranked by Rotoballer as the fourth-best second-base dynasty prospect in baseball entering 2021.
