Austin Slater Dealing With Hamstring Soreness
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Austin Slater (hamstring) left the team's first spring training game due to hamstring soreness. He is still dealing with the soreness, according to Giants manager Gabe Kapler. He only saw one at-bat in the team's spring opener before he was lifted. He started the game at designated hitter, batting sixth. Slater had a solid year in 2020, slashing .282/.408/.506 with five home runs, seven RBI and 18 runs over 31 games. He should be a key component to the Giants' offense in 2021 and is a solid late round outfielder to target in most fantasy formats.
