Brandon Marsh Being Held Out With Arm Injury
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Brandon Marsh (arm), ranked by MLB Pipeline as the team's top prospect, has been held out of playing defense for precautionary reasons with a minor arm injury. Marsh has still been able to serve as a designated hitter and is expected to be in the lineup on Friday. The 23-year-old left-handed hitter is known as a very solid defensive outfielder with developing offensive skills at the plate. While Marsh is likely to start the 2021 season in the minor leagues, he has a pretty good chance of making his major league debut at some point this season. In the Rookie League and with Double-A Mobile in 2019, Marsh slashed .287/.368/.408 with a .776 OPS, seven home runs, 45 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 101 games.
