Jackson Kowar Sharp In Spring Training Debut
4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Jackson Kowar got the start in the team's second spring training game against the Cleveland Indians on Monday. Kowar pitched two innings and allowed three hits, no walks and no runs while striking out two. He earned the win in the game as the Royals roughed up Cleveland Indians ace Shane Bieber in the first two innings. The 24-year-old Kowar is the Royals' No. 4 prospect. He will likely open the 2021 season at Triple-A, but could make his MLB debut this year and even earn a spot start or a rotation spot if the team suffers any key injuries.
