Wilson Ramos Homers On Monday
4 years agoDetroit Tigers catcher Wilson Ramos got the start at designated hitter and batted fourth in his spring training debut against the New York Yankees on Monday. Ramos went 2-for-3 in the game with a home run, two RBI and a strikeout. His home run came in the third inning of the game against Jhoulys Chacin. The 33-year-old Ramos signed a one-year deal with the Tigers this offseason and will be the team's primary catcher. He should hit somewhere in the heart of the team's lineup this year. He spent the last two seasons with the New York Mets. He struggled a bit last year, slashing .239/.297/.387 with five home runs and 15 RBI in 45 games.
