Hunter Dozier Signing Four-Year Extension
4 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Hunter Dozier is in the midst of finalizing a four-year extension with the team. The team will be buying out three years of arbitration as well as a year of free agency in the extension. Dozier had an underwhelming season last year, slashing .228/.344/.392 with six home runs, 12 RBI and 29 runs over 44 games. He's a solid bounce-back candidate this year. He's just a year-and-a-half removed from a strong 2019 campaign that saw him post an OPS of .870 with 26 home runs over 139 games. He'll hit in the heart of an improving Royals lineup in 2021.
