Titans Reach Out To J.J. Watt
4 years agoTennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson said that he has reached out to free-agent pass-rusher J.J. Watt's, and "it's early in the stages" when it comes to Watt deciding where he'll play after being released by the Houston Texans last Friday. The Titans would like to add the All-Pro to their defensive line, but they'll need to clear the necessary salary cap space in order to do so this offseason. A first-round pick in 2011, Watt will turn 32 in March and his best days in the NFL are likely behind him, but he can still be productive when healthy and could help the Titans Defense take the next step. Watt is a five-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro, but injuries have taken a toll on him in recent years. He had 16 sacks back in 2018 but has just nine combined sacks the last two seasons for Houston.
